Running Accomplishments:

3200m: 10:10 (Woods Cross Invite 2014)

1600m: 4:27 (Utah 5A State Championship 2015)

800: 1:59 (Time trial the last week of school, timed by Coach Murphy.)

5K: 16:20 (ran under 16:00 for the 3 mile)

Copper Hills Invitational 2015 1600m Champion.


8th fastest 1600m runner in Alta history


2014-2015 Alta Track Athlete of the Year

8th place and 1st in age division at 2014 Jupiter Peak Steeplechase (16 mile La Sportiva championship race) time of 2:02:47. Sprained my ankle with a mile left, hobbled to the finish as fast as I could.


3rd place and 1st in age division at the 2015 Leadville Heavy Half, a 15.5 mile course that started at over 10,000 ft and had over 4500 meet elevation gain, tons of shifty rocky areas, ice, snow, rivers, and an out and back with 500+ runners on a narrow path at the top. I ran 2:13:09 and beat a guy from the Junior National Mountain Running team.


Short-Term Running Goals:

Summer 2017: Get up to averaging 12-15 miles per day Run at least one 100-mile week (a little ambitious) sub 16:00 at draper days 5k Be able to finish the progression run with a sub 5:00 mile

Long-Term Running Goals:

Sub 1:50 in the 800m

Sub 4:00 in the mile

Sub 14:00 in the 5k

Sub 30:00 in the 10k

Make the varsity team for SUU.

Run all my life and be great at it

Go to NCAA Nationals

Goals like these are great but really I want to be able to keep a passion for running and enjoy getting in healthy exercise that will benefit me for the rest of my life.

Represent Switzerland at the European Athletics Championship.

Become the fastest Swiss middle distance runner by 2020 (800m, 1500m)

Be a great mountain/trail runner

Coach Track and Cross Country

Represent the USA at the World Long Distance Mountain Running Championship

Be elected mayor when I grow old and wise.


2nd year running for Southern Utah University, it's a privilege to run there, I have so many amazing teammates. I ran for Alta high school and was trained by Coach Murphy, he is a great coach, one of the best there is. Served an lds mission in Montreal Canada. After a couple more years at SUU I plan on getting my a Masters or PhD in industrial organizational psychology.

First speed workout of the summer, 10x1 minute hard with 1 minute rest in between. I felt pretty good and I ran past a speedometer that said I was at 12 miles per hour for what thats wort. That would be averaging 5:00 which is ok for first workout. I also ran almost 4 of the miles on the road with minimal complaint from my ankles. I think I'm finally getting over this thing! And I'm getting new, more cushioned shoes tomorrow! And I will hopefully begin doing 2 a days soon, that will help boost me up to 50-60 miles a week with more ease.

Its hard to increase mileage in this heat. I did 6 miles in 98 degree temperatures, at least its great heat training. I work until 10 or else I'd run in the evening, I should just wake up earlier and run then. I also ran about 3 of todays miles on the road and my ankles held up just fine! So thats good news. Now I need to get used to running fast on the roads.

6 miles and 2 tennis matches in 100 degree weather. Pretty intense day. Now I'm at work, hopefully my ankles will be ready for the sandy classic.
